If you have 2 red lights on the power button, then this is indicating that your Xbox 360 has overheated. You can fix this problem by shutting down your game console, and letting it cool off for a couple of minutes You should try to avoid overheating in the future, because this could eventually be leading to hardware failure or even worse to popular red ring of death, as well known as the 3 red lights error.
If your Xbox 360 is overheating, you should be cleaning it to take off the dust from the unit. Also, make sure to put console unit out in the free area with adequate ventilation.
If you experience the 3 red light error, this signals a serious issue with your Xbox 360. This 3 lights tells you that your console has experienced an overall hardware problem, and you should send it to Microsoft for fixing.
If you get 4 red lights. This is probablly nothing to be concerned with, since it might just mean that the wire isn’t properly connected. Check the connector and you will usually solve the issue.
The problem of DVD drive error, or if the Xbox 360 is unable to read the DVD that is also caused by overheating. If you get this problem, you’ll need to send the Xbox 360 to Microsoft to be fixed.
